THE PORTAL APPROACH

Understand the circuit.
Get to know the car.

Detailed track maps, hands-on driving and a mathematical model. We bring them together to build setups, then test and refine how they feel on track.

01 / UNDERSTAND THE CIRCUIT

Start with every corner.

We draw our track maps by hand, capturing as much detail as we can. Driving, video and telemetry help us understand the circuit, depending on whether it is already in the game.

The model analyses its corners, straights and aerodynamic demands. We review those inputs and adjust them by hand to reflect the circuit as accurately as possible.

02 / UNDERSTAND THE CAR

More than a range of clicks.

We map each car’s setup limits and find the adjustment ranges that work well in practice. Time behind the wheel helps us understand its systems, balance and handling characteristics.

That knowledge becomes part of the model, so its calculations reflect the individual car.

03 / GENERATE, TEST & REFINE

Put the model on track.

We generate setups from those inputs, then check that the values match what we expect. Testing spans different circuit styles and car layouts: front- and mid-engined GT3s, hypercars with different wing adjustments, LMP2s and LMP3s.

Where testing shows a need, we adjust the values and calibrate the model for that car and circuit combination.

A LITTLE CLARITY

A mathematical setup model.
No generative AI.

Our program calculates setup values from the circuit and car inputs we provide. Driving, testing and human judgement guide how we calibrate it.

HOURS IN THE RIG. CONSTANT REFINEMENT.

Developed over time.
Driven every day.

Behind every setup are hours of driving, reviewing results, adjusting values and calibrating the model. That work continues with every round of testing.

A long way from the beta.

The model has evolved so extensively since our free beta setups that it is almost an entirely new model. Repeated testing and refinement have shaped how it works today.

Test. Adjust. Calibrate.
Behind the wheel

Two drivers.
A shared obsession.

A lot of laps. A lot of notes. And a shared belief that a setup should feel as good as it drives.

Development driver

The other pair of hands.

Keeping their name out of the spotlight and their feedback at the centre of the process. An independent feel for each car, a fresh perspective, and the patience to keep testing.

Built with a purpose-written program. Refined through driving and feedback.
THE WORK CONTINUES

Every driver adds to the picture.

Feedback from drivers, subscribers and our development drivers helps us decide what to investigate next. We use it to guide further testing and refine the model over time.

Tell us which car, circuit and setup you used, and what you felt behind the wheel. Details about the corner, conditions or behaviour give us a useful place to start.
